Homemade Croutons

Miss that extra flavor and crunch on your soups and salads since having to be gluten free? Grab a loaf of gluten free bread and whip up your own! It is SO simple, and tastes much better than the store brand types.

I like to make a bunch at once and then just store in a gallon size baggie and used throughout the week. I also use these bread cubes/ croutons for my homemade stuffing recipe at Thanksgiving time. Enjoy this recipe and add that crunch back into your meals!!

XO - A

Ingredients:

  • 1 Loaf of your favorite gluten free bread

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Italian Seasoning (optional)

  • Olive Oil

Instructions:

  • Let the bread slices air dry for 2-3 hours (I recommend flipping the bread about half way through)

  • Once dried out - cut into 1-inch pieces and place on a cookie sheet.

  • Spritz the cubes with olive oil and sprinkle with S&P.

  • Bake at 350 for about 35-40 min (or until lightly toasted)

  • Let bread cubes cool and air dry for another hour

  • Bag until ready to use
